It all began with a walk to class and a heart willing to take the long way...
Christian met Hannah during their freshman year at Purdue, and from their first introduction, he made a point to always walk her to her next class, even if it meant going completely out of his way. It was the kind of simple, thoughtful gesture that said everything without needing to say a word. And though neither of them knew it at the time, those everyday walks were laying the foundation for something much bigger.
Fast forward a few years, and they came into our showroom to talk through engagement ring possibilities. As they explored the cases, Hannah found herself drawn to a beautiful Art Deco diamond ring. She noticed something different about its sparkle. Korene talked her through the magic of Old European cut diamonds, and that was the moment she knew - that soft, romantic shimmer was exactly what she wanted.
Not long after, Christian came back solo, ready to bring Hannah's vision to life. We showed him a carefully selected group of Old European cut diamonds, and he found the one—a stunning stone that practically told its own love story. We set it in a classic yellow gold solitaire to let that incredible diamond shine.
Then came the surprise. While Hannah was away on a girls’ trip in Cincinnati, Christian made the drive from Nashville under the guise of a wine festival, which, as she later found out, was completely made up. But it worked like a charm: she was dressed to the nines and completely unsuspecting when Christian proposed. That evening, the surprises kept coming as they celebrated their engagement surrounded by friends and family.
We’re so honored to have been part of this beautiful beginning. Christian and Hannah, thank you for letting us be a small piece of your love story. Here’s to a lifetime of joy, surprises, and sparkle. 💛
